> The third generation of M500 Desktop DAC and AMP brings many new upgrades to the series. Primarily, the M500 MK III Desktop DAC/AMP is based on the brand new SDAA Architecture. It uses the 8-channel arrangement of ES9038 Pro flagship Sabre DAC the MK2 used only 2 channels of ES9038 Pro. M500 MK III houses XMOS’s latest 3rd-generation XU316 USB processor while the M500 MK II featured a 2nd-gen XU216 chipset. OPAMP architecture has been completely redesigned. It now uses nine OPA1612A chips, the M500 MK II used three of the same chips. S.M.S.L has featured its latest in-house developed CK-03 clock module on the M500 MK III. With the help of all these new chipsets and audio architecture, the M500 MK III achieves better distortion, dynamic range, and SNR ratings in comparison to the previous gen models.
